The story of Willis Bros dates back to the early 1940s when Mark and Matthew’s uncles, Horace and Joe, began their journey as barrow boys, selling fresh produce at Marble Arch in London. In 1947, they returned to Bury, where their younger brother Frank left the RAF to join them in establishing a thriving fresh fruit and vegetable stall at the world-famous Bury Market.
Following in their family's footsteps, Mark and Matthew continued the tradition, successfully running the market stalls for many years. Today, the next generation has stepped in—Mark’s son, Sean, has joined the team, working alongside them at their new premises at Unit 5/6, Peel Industrial Estate, Bury, BL9 6LU. This strategic location provides excellent access to motorways, allowing them to efficiently supply fresh produce across Manchester, Lancashire, and Cheshire.
